I can't believe I haven't been here until now! I'm not a huge fan of buffets but oh my gosh this is a buffet of home cooking done right. The salad bar was my favorite, hamburger steak perfect, so many vegetables on the bar, tasted like my grandmother cooked it. They have a huge menu of steaks, seafood, burgers, so many options. Clean, friendly, good prices and most importantly, absolutely delicious food. Can't wait to go back!
Stopped in on the way through- wanted a bite and had a craving for a liver mush sandwich (I know, random). The atmosphere was amazing, I felt immediately welcomed! Lots of quirky things to look at, and a cute country shop too while you wait. And the FOOD? Amazing! One of the best liver sandwiches I’ve ever had. The fries were beautifully crispy and seasoned too. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely stop by and sit down this time!
This is a great place to eat with family and friends! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is unique and interesting. I suggest the food bar, but the individual plates are delicious as well according to my family members. I love looking around the restaurant at the different signs and such. The waitresses are constantly taking care of customers and keeping tables clear. This was not my first trip and I will be back!
The apple bread pudding was addictive. One of the best things I've ever had. All the food was good. My kids enjoyed their milkshakes. Sweet tea was good.We all enjoyed the amazing decor. Waitress was sweet & on top of things. Definitely will be a regular spot for us. Price was good for a group of 6.

I also have to mention the candy selection at the checkout — such a fun throwback with all the nostalgic favorites! And the vintage decor ties it all together perfectly, giving the place a cozy, timeless charm. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hearty meal and a warm, local vibe!
Traveling through we found this awesome country place with a buffet. It was perfect. We ordered the buffet and you pick one entry. I got spaghetti and my friend got chicken fried chicken. We enjoyed everything. Big verity of vegetables on the bar. Service was great. They have all types of goodies at the register and I loved reading and looking at them signs and pictures on the wall.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. The outside is simple and understated. The inside is fabulous. The decor is fun and there is always something to look at. The food was phenomenal and affordable. The food bars were clean and fully stocked at all times. You won’t walk away hungry! Waiter was attentive and nice. Abele’s advertises in the Blue Ridge Christian News so I thought I would give them a try based on this alone. I am so glad I did! We will be back!
